Article 1     These Standards are adopted pursuant to Article 6 of the Taipei Exchange (TPEx) Operational Rules Governing Market Makers and Liquidity Providers ("the Rules").
Article 2     When a market maker's trading quotes for an individual selected TPEx listed stock in a given month satisfy the requirements of Article 4 of the Rules, the TPEx will discount the business service fee for that TPEx listed stock for the given month according to the following standards (for securities firm account no. 555555-5):

│month). Total trading volume = (buy trade │
│volume + sell trade volume)               │

    The monthly trading volume referred to in the preceding paragraph does not include the quantity of self-trades executed through that account or of trades executed between that account and other accounts opened under the securities firm's own name.
Article 3     When a market maker's trading quotes for all its selected specified TPEx listed stocks in a given month satisfy the requirements of Article 4 of the Rules, the TPEx will discount the business service fee for the market maker's proprietary trading account (securities firm account no. 000000-0) for the given month according to the following standards:

    When calculating the business service fees to which the discounts under the preceding paragraph are applicable, the amounts of self-trades executed through that account and of trades executed between that account and other accounts opened under the securities firm's own name shall be deducted.
Article 4     The TPEx will discount a liquidity service provider's monthly business service fee for an individual selected TPEx listed stock for a given month according to the following standards (for securities firm account no. 555555-6):

Article 5     These Standards, and any amendments hereto, will be publicly announced and implemented following submission to and recordation by the competent authority.
